The Spencer Area Community Foundation was established in 1999 and operates under the Nebraska Community Foundation to:

Develop, encourage and support community improvement projects and civic programs for the residents of Spencer, Nebraska and the surrounding area.

Operate for charitable, benevolent, educational, recreational, cultural and civic purposes.

Support tourism, beautification and community betterment efforts.

Raise, solicit, receive, invest and disburse charitable contributions and donations to promote the purposes for which the foundation was formed.

Possible uses for foundation gifts include, but are not limited to:

Library
Park Improvement
Community Hall Renovations
Swimming Pool
Youth Programs
Community Beautification

Contributions to the Spencer Area Community Foundation are deductible for income, estate and gift tax purposes.
